Who We Are
First, we truly believe each day is new beginning in Christ! Believing this, we are a family of Christian people who realize that we in no way can earn our salvation outside of our faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We are not perfect, and as sinners we depend on God’s daily forgiveness as we journey in this life. In this common faith, we come together in love and fellowship to worship our Lord and to work together in telling others of His love for them.
Jesus tells us in the Gospel of John, “Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:34-35). Yes, we have a very loving congregation, and our hearts are always open and welcoming for everyone who is looking for a relationship with Jesus as Lord and Savior. We realize that not everyone enjoys the same type of worship service, so we offer a variety of worship formats. We have a “traditional” worship service for those who prefer more structure in their worship experience. We also have a “contemporary” worship service for those who prefer a more casual style of worship. In either case, we hope everyone will feel free to come as they are—no dress codes! It is our sincere hope and prayer that your time in worship will encourage and strengthen your faith in Christ and His love for you.
Our Lord tells us in Matthew, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." We take this command of the Lord very seriously, and it is the focal point of our ministry efforts. We strive hard to share the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ with all people, both here in the Buchanan Dam area and around the world.
