Who We Are

Many churches make claim that they are different than others...and give reasons why.
We too make that claim...based not on our opinions, but the opinions of those who
come to our Church the very first time!

What do they say?  Here are some examples:
  "We've found our church home!"
"This is what we have been looking for...and driving past...for weeks!"
"This is the most loving and caring church we've ever
    belonged to."
"For a bunch of old-timers and grandparents..you sure don't act your
age!" (This from our substitute 19 year old choir director)

Yes, Genesis doesn't quite "fit the mold" of what some might call or label a
Lutheran  Missouri Synod Church.  We try to maintain a critical balance and
keep with us the best of that which is "old/traditional" while introducing blended
worship forms and music that are contemporary, interesting and inspiring.

With the blessings of having a former professor in our congregation, as
well as two retired pastors who complement the pastoral teaching ministry,
our church is well-equipped and gifted to lead all members in a faith-walk that
is both inspiring as well as interesting.

The Holy Bible tells us in John 3, 16-17

For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that anyone
who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  God did not send
his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.

And then in Matthew 28, 18-20

He told his disciples,"I have been given all authority in heaven and earth.
Therefore go and make disciples in all the nations, baptizing them into
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and then
teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you;
and be sure of this -- that I am with you always, even to the end of the world."
